Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Oblivion Group LLC ("LockedIn", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the LockedIn desktop application (the "App") and the website at getlockedin.biz (the "Site"). We've designed LockedIn so that the most sensitive data — your webcam — never leaves your computer.
1. The short version
- Your webcam is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Video is analysed in real time on your device and immediately discarded.
- The App works fully offline. Using the App requires no account.
- We only collect personal data if you create an account or buy a paid plan (essentially: your email and license status).
- We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or build advertising profiles.
2. Webcam & focus data (processed locally only)
When you run a focus session, the App accesses your webcam to estimate whether you are looking at your screen. This processing happens entirely on your device using on-device models. No image, video frame, or biometric template is saved to disk or sent to us or any third party. Frames exist only momentarily in memory and are discarded after analysis. When you pause or stop a session, the camera is released.
Your focus statistics (session times, streaks, distraction counts) and your settings are stored in a local file on your own computer. We have no access to them. You can export or delete them at any time from within the App.
3. Information we process when you use a paid plan or account
If you create an account or purchase Pro/Lifetime, we (and our processors) handle:
- Account data: your email address and an authentication credential, used to sign you in and validate your license.
- License & subscription status: which plan you have and whether it is active.
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Whop). We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Basic diagnostics: if you contact support, the information you choose to share with us.
4. Website data
The Site may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand traffic (e.g. page views), and standard server logs (IP address, user agent) kept for security and abuse-prevention for a limited period. We do not use these to identify you personally for advertising.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of: contract (to provide your account and license), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the product), and consent where required (e.g. optional analytics). The App's local webcam processing does not involve us as a controller because the data never reaches us.
6. Sub-processors
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the service:
- Supabase — authentication and account/license database.
- Whop — checkout and subscription billing.
- Vercel — website and API hosting.
Each processes data only as needed to provide their function and under their own security and privacy commitments.
7. Data retention
We keep account and license data for as long as your account exists, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations. Local App data lives only on your device until you delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, email privacy@getlockedin.biz. You can delete your local data at any time directly in the App.
9. Children
LockedIn is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but because your webcam and focus data stay on your device, the most sensitive information is never exposed to us in the first place.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
